Unlike lower resolution images, virtual slides can be explored interactively by zooming-and-panning in real-time. A HTML5-based virtual microscope allows the examination of large and small tissues or cell types in the same specimen within the context of the whole plant organ. The collection is freely accessible and does not yet require a login. Questions, comments, suggestions, or inquiries concerning interpretation of the slides should be sent to Olivier.Leroux@UGent.be.
